Ahhhhh, my Girls and Bros; Key's works...and usually as well, their accompanying animation, is literally Godlike, and has played a big role in my more "moving" anime experiences. You're always due for an emotional rollercoaster in their works; for those who haven't seen them, please do yourself a favor! Just make sure you've got your seatbelts buckled for possible feels you may encounter!

Kinda felt guilty about Ryou. Though i didnt see her as what she had said in this episode, i kinda see her as stepping stone for the best girl Kyou! (Btw she didnt end up single, she hooked up with a patient when she became a nurse, forget his name, but it was a lame name)
True Nagisa is just too much, the " i must protect this", "this girl is too precious" type is overflowing from her. But everytime Kyou comes up, you know its gonna be fun. Its also the reason why her route has been animated. Go Botan!!

Edit: i forgot the "what is youth" part from Yoshino, man they changed it but still epic!

Yeah. Also, no Nagisa, no Ushio, and I absolutely ADORE Ushio! That father-daughter moment in the flower field gets me every single time! 😭

I think that's the second time I hear that this year hahaha and yeah that moment was the one that settle Clannad as one of my most beloved animes forever, I even made a drawing of Ushio as the girl from the other world, I think Clannad is one of those animes in which all characters are gold, well in general Key is good at that, but in Clannad even the landlady was a great waifu hahaha

Good for you. The issue with tomoyo is she breaks the immersion way more than necessary. Being strong as fuck.

Haha Ryou-chan had it rough in the main series she didn't stand a chance against Nagisa and even in the after world she still loss against her sister Kyou she's destined to be 3rd or 4th girl of the series heck Kotomi's chance was stronger than her.

... I dont remember ryou having a dark side tho... Ive played theVN multiple times and watched the anime thrice... tho she is my favorite character in the series, I like her quiet, klutz, and weak disposition, kind of like you want to protect no matter what

Clannad is my favorite but Little Busters, Kanon (2006) and Air were all really good, Rewrite was so so, but I have heard that it was just a really difficult VN to translate into anime, so that one the VN is apparently next level stuff

The Rewrite anime is also kinda whack but if you play the VN. Damn its only next to clannad due to it not being grounded to real life and its 5 route are so distinct you would need atleast 50 episode IMHO to scratch its core.

It was never translated well from VN to anime. There was just too many things happening that only the VN can show you. Or at least isnt limited to the episode shown

The ending to Little Busters just ruins the entire point of the show. It would have been levels of Angel Beats saddens but that all got negated within the span of an episode.

The lb vn is great tough. Mainly refrain ( its like after story for lb)
